Any newly registered vehicle does not require a PUC certificate for 12 months from date of registration, since all vehicles are emission tested at the factory before they reach the showroom. A copy of the RC book is proof enough.

11th Service : 7 Years of Ownership
7 Year itch they say...Yellow Wasp completed this journey in June this year, still remaining an attraction to eyes, with out any niggles at all.
11th Service included the normal Engine and Gear oil changes, new Air filter, replacing rollers (free of cost),new spark plug and other essentials.
Crossed 3000 km mark finally.

Im going to order new white wall inserts,as current ones were installed in June 2012 and are in tatters. They lasted for 6+ years.

Thanks for your interest in White Wall Inserts.
These White walls inserts are available with a particular scooter parts dealer in Hyderabad, where I live.
However,I have sent you through a PM, the details of another supplier, who can ship them home to you.
Hope this helps.

Is it a known problem with Vespas? What's the solution - Any better gripping tires? |
I'm currently using a friend's LX125 as he's out of town. I too have crashed almost TWICE this past week, as there was heavy rain and a truck braking suddenly in front of me. The rear wheels locked and I had no choice but to skid straight towards it, thankfully stopped just a few feet behind impending disaster.
In an emergency situation, I don't think one has time to think about carefully applying both brakes simultaneously. This is proving to be extremely dangerous as even in dry conditions, the wheels lock up under heavy braking:Shockked:
I haven't faced this issue in any Honda scooter so far.

Earlier LX125s didnot have Disk brakes or Combi Brakes, unlike Honda. Its again another question, Honda introduced Combi Brakes first in the market.
I have been riding LX125 since its launch in 2012 and never had issues with brakes. Good riding is applying both front and rear brakes simultaneously for decelerating in time. Perhaps you need to master this !!!!:)

Since you are a newbie, I cant send you a PM with his contact number.
Best wishes.
12th Service in 8+Years of Ownership
Having owned for more than 8 Years now, there are no niggles.
Annual Service just included oil change as the vehicle did not run much due to lock down.
Service Cost

Ride Safe
Battery change:
Since post lockdown, I realized that something was wrong with the vehicle as I was not getting clean starts. Engine kept purring and stalling near signals.
Upon investigation it was decided that Battery was the culprit. Hence went for a replacement immediately. This is the 3rd Battery since the date of purchase.
Incidentally changed the accelerator cable too as the recoil was not smoothly happening.

Have a safe ride.:thumbs up
