Re: Barebone 500 - Royal Enfield Bobber

This aint a bobber but more like a flat tracker..still, fantastic craftsmanship overall. But am not a big fan of the seat, then again to each his own. i personally would like to see an exhaust more in the lines of a triumph scrambler

Where have you hidden away the battery?

The bike has turned out to be awesome considering the time invested by Gaurav into it. Its upto Gaurav to upload some more pics and details if any. Till then you can wonder where the heck is the battery. One clue, its not under the seat.
Joshua from IndiMotard? Guess they were working on something like this strictly on a weight reduction "plan" sometime back. But love this one!

Re: Barebone 500 - Royal Enfield Bobber

That surely is the coolest RE that I have ever seen. Looks real cool in Blue and RE should take up this idea as a stock original custom option. But then they cant meet demand for the normal ones itself.

Re: Barebone 500 - Royal Enfield Bobber

That is one of the best looking RE I have seen. Kudos to the work. The only sore point is the exhaust - a scrambler type exhaust will suite this build better.

Love the shade and the concealed wiring and battery. I love the build so much that I have made one of them my wallpaper

Re: Barebone 500 - Royal Enfield Bobber

WoW !! Something new i see here. Something different from the RE choppers which are becoming very common these days. a good color choice, Great pics and best of all.. it doesn't deviate much from standard design !

My only question: Is the RTO ok with light modifications like these ?? The choppers became hard to imagine after i read that in most cases they aren't street legal..

Lovely work. The bike has come out really nice..
Would love to see more pics. Also approximately how many killos have been shed and how much is the performance gain (relatively)?

Re: Barebone 500 - Royal Enfield Bobber

Simply brilliant outcome Everything on the bike is just perfect...the design, the colour scheme et al.

The best part is I had a similar design in mind, but never went about executing it. Hats off to you gordon

Ha. You throw these delicious pictures in our faces and expect us to read the three lines at the start of the post? That's hard to do Gordon!

The first image looks fantastic too with the C500 in that background.

I think the seat was the best thing that happened to this C500. The second image isn't as flattering as the rest where the seat's different. I personally love the exhaust as it is.

Stunning work, picking up my lower jaw off the floor.

Re: Barebone 500 - Royal Enfield Bobber

Hated to see an RE being stripped top this limit. But I should say it has been a wonderful art work and design. Kudos to the builders.

On first look, I thought it was an RX 100 with an RE engine

Re: Barebone 500 - Royal Enfield Bobber

RE mods most of the time looks inferior to the original. We always have that inertia to change the RE picture in our mind. But this one is awesome.Great job.
Feels like an old bulky person reborn as an energetic young muscular man.
And the paint job looks good, simple yet attractive and no glossy yellow paint!
Kudos to Gaurav and Joshua.

Re: Barebone 500 - Royal Enfield Bobber

I have heard that the weight of RE plays a part in maintaining its stability. How is riding and handling after you have altered the weight?
