A very comprehensive upgrade from Kawasaki. The Ninja 250R looks much more than a 250cc bike now (Not sure if the same is reflected in person!) and thats a huge thing. :thumbs up However - I like the cleaner styling package of the earlier one over the mix-and-match styling this one sports.
The indicators on the fairing - for example, doesn't seem to match the body styling at all! :Frustrati (Pic source-

Bajaj, if you are reading this thread by any chance - Please bring this as a CKD. Can give a very tough competition to CBR250R - and there are numbers to be had, to justify the CKD assembly!
Looking more R15ish from different angle. The side air holes on the fairing,Front end and the rear. The fuel tank is looking different. Will this come to us by any chance?

Definitely a lot better than the existing bike. The instrument cluster is changed too looks more functional and modern. The ones on my bike look dull. I like the way it looks, other than the side fairing, which looks very similar to the Yamaha R15. Its is a hit or miss too much of detailing on the body for my liking.

I have my doubts about how much
extra competition this will give to the CBR. There is already a price difference of close to a lakh+ between the current Ninja & the CBR (non ABS). This new model will certainly be more expensive than the outgoing one, which means a further increase in the price gap. So I think there wont be a substantial jump in the Ninja's sales figures cos it'll still be an unaffordable option for majority of CBR buyers n it wont really pull much from the GT650 or N650 customers either.
By the way, if Bajaj prices this close to the 3.5L (OTR) mark, then its just a lakh less than the competent GT650N. Something to think about. :)
P.S - The N250 is already a CKD.
A much needed upgrade. After all it now has the ABS. I agree that if it is brought in as CKD, then the CBR250r is in serious trouble. Just hope that they price it somewhere close to the honda counterpart.
Some more detailed pics, IMO, it's a :thumbs up

Now that's something to drool over! clap:
Even though there are some good options in the market today considering price per cc equation, the Ninja250R for me has always been the perfect tool for the enthusiast. Barring the price-tag, which I am sure will be no less than 3 lacs, everything now works in favor of this bike.
Fairing. Check. SBK-ish stance. Check. Mad-revving Parallel twin. Check.
Safety. Check. Upmarket Gadgets. Check. Legendary brand. Check.
It will cruise effortlessly on the highways; go like a rocket around the racetrack/twisties and because of it's diminutive dimensions and small cubic capacity (compared to the Hyosungs that fall in the same price band) it won't be cumbersome to commute on it as well. If they manage to price it below or just at 3 lacs (highly unlikely to happen, I know) this is surely going to be my next ride!!
The alloys that the Ninja wears look fantastic! The indicators on the fairing and the air vents look very much out of place. Good if Bajaj brings this as a CKD. BTW, is the rear seat optional? I see it different in different pictures, specially in the last but one.
Also, closely observing pictures 9 and 10 in Scorcher's post, I feel that the silencer is creating a different angle with the swing arm in each picture. Is it just that the shots are taken from different angles?
I AM IN LOVE!!!! clap:
Tired of waiting for Yamaha to roll out their 250cc. If Bajaj launch this in RED, I am DEFINITELY buying this one. Or will go for black. I haven't felt this way since I first saw the red R15 in an ad. Oh please please please launch it ASAP Bajaj...
This is definitely much better looking than the current version. The current one with the headlight design had started to look dated.
A welcome change!
WOAH!!! Now thats a great looking 250cc bike! I found it better looking than the 650 ;) Kudos to the Kawasaki team for coming out with such a fantastic design. ABS is always welcome and the new instrument cluster looks awesome. As with others, hope they bring it in as a CKD to drop the prices :)
From the source, 6 Color options are mentioned:

The colour options for the new bike include Lime Green, Lime Green/Ebony (special edition), Ebony/Metallic Moondust Grey (special edition), Passion Red, Passion Red/Stardust White (special edition), and Pearl Stardust White.

It's much better in every aspect than the outgoing Ninja 250. It has got every sort of weapon to beat anyone in its way, being it the engine department or the dashing looks. But in India, the final buying decisions simply comes down to price. So if Bajaj prices this bike sensibly, then things will be in their control. If otherwise, then it's going to be another good trial, but full of errors.
I take back my words after looking at the pictures above the side fairing does not look anything similar to R15. Lovely color combination. The Red looks super hot. :thumbs up

Wow, this looks nice. i have read that the ergonomics are bigger than the existing 250R means will it have a bigger body like Hyosung 250?
