Thats true but for me it may be a blue moon tourer primarily used for cafe and gym runs, Sunday morning joy rides. This seems like a perfect bike for that. The N300 is too close to the 650 to consider. The 650 is too much of a tourer and at that price the triumphs seem to be the ticket! So all in all it looks like this is the bike for me!

Thank you for the information. I am lining up for the new KTM. I need to check it out first so see if I like the riding position and if they are providing a ride, nothing like it.

As it stands, I would not go anywhere near a Kawasaki sold and supported by Bajaj. I don't know who to fault, Kawasaki or Bajaj. Bajaj seem to be doing a stellar job supporting KTM in India. A colleague has had a really rough stint with his 250. After a bad crash up, it took close to 4 months for the bike to return from repairs and a bill of well over a lac that was covered (Thankfully) by insurance. The delay was due to non availability of spares. The cost of spares are also insane. Next, someone knocked off an indicator unit, 4K to replace that and another long wait. He finally decided to import it himself from Thailand as it was faster and cheaper by about 2K. Next, this one is hilarious, someone stole the oil dip stick. 2K for this and no part available. Imported again from Thailand. Regular service costs are also not what I'd all affordable. You might want to research a little before you put your money on a Kawasaki.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - 375cc, 45 PS, 150 kg

Bike India claims that the Duke 390's on road Pune price is 2.3 lakh rupees. Points to ex-showroom price close to the 2 lakh rupee mark.

Had been to Begumpet showroom yesterday, they said it would be well under 2.5L OTR, but the waiting period is 60 days.
