This engine will be borrowed from the Fly 150 scooter, which would make the Piaggio Typhoon the first MPFI (multi-point fuel-injection) engined scooter in India." - Motorbeam

The engine is a 4-stroke SOHC mill producing 11.4 HP of power and 11.5 Nm of torque.

These scoots are super cool and very stylish. Remember to have seen these first a long while ago exhibited by the erstwhile LML Piaggio combine and rumored then that these beauties would be launch. There were many others as well like Fly and Zip.

Looks like the Italian co has finally woken up and bringing on one product after another. Bring it on guys!

Hope Piaggio is serious with its plans! I am completely sold out on the looks!

Apart from the erst while Kinetic Blaze, the 150 automatic segment remains pretty much unexplored. I hope this model kick starts a whole new segment that otherwise has only boring and highly under powered scoots.

Just came across an article which said , the Vesapa Typhoon will be launched this year . COuldnt help but compare this to the currently available SR 150 . It looks exactly the same .

Aprilia is a subsidiary of Piaggio and that is how they've launched the Typhoon in the SR 150 guise.
