What could be the reason? Coz i've used it and dint have any problem. The clutch didn't slip.

Hey i use GTX on my 180dtsi and i must say its the best oil i have felt for my bike....the difference in performance is noticeable from the company used oil..

First of never put car oil in your motorcycle, only oils that are graded with JASO MA certification are meant for motorcycles.
Regarding which oil to use for pulsar 180, MAK4t 20w50 was an excellent oil, however BP has stopped manufacturing it and now only the 20w40 grade is available in the market.
I have heard good things about Valvoline 4t premium 20w50 semi synthetic which is meant for motorcycles, haven’t yet used it. If you cant find a 20w50 bike oil then go for Elf 20w40, its quite good.

yea i just filled elf moto 4 in my bike today.but i think it feels the same as the previous company filled oil.no noticble difference.

Thats the problem, the one's with JASO MA certification are hard to find! Someone need to notify Bajaj abt this.

Castrol Power 1; meets all regulation . cost 184/lit

I rode 110kms. Touched 120kmph couple of times and even stayed on 120kmph for few min. Feels like the bike could go more, but couldnt get decent road. Used Castrol GTX.

but jkdas castrol power 1 isnt 20W50.yea castrol GTX is good but im afraid of using it because what if something goes wrong in the long run.

Jkdas, Best to stick to the manufacturer recommended engine oil. Using oils of alternative viscousity may void warranty terms.

Each engine is designed to work under certain temperatures and the oils can withstand the temperatures specified for it. Beyond that, the oil loses its properties of lubrication and viscousity.

Hence safe to stick to the recommended oil. Avoid synthetic oils unless recommended by the makers. Natural based oils are the best options.
