Brilliantly written, bro. Hope you have many a happy mile with your Kwacker.
You mentioned that you changed the oil to a Motul one. Did you find a noticeable difference in the way the engine ran or otherwise?

I hope driveanddrive does not mind me replying to your query.

My 250R was filled with bajaj dtsi oil at first service which i promptly changed to Motul 5100 semi synth at 4k kms. The engine became a lot more smoother and this further improved when I switched to fully synth Motul 7100 at 10,000 kms.

Re: The Mean Green - A Fling with the baby Kwacker - Ninja 250 R

Well written buddy. Brought me some nostalgic memories when i was hunting for a used 250R! Saddest part was that I could'nt find any in a good condition! Anyway. Congrats bro! That is properly one hell of a machine. Something which still makes so many boys and men lose their sleep.

BTW is that really a Contigo on the rear??
[Edit] Somehow missed the sentence that said non availability of PSDs. Saw that now! That piece of rubber doesnt do any justice to that superb engine and chassis! Please do hunt for the stock IRC or something else. IIRC, 130 section PSDs are somewhat available these days. Please do another round of search.

Ride safe bro!

Re: The Mean Green - A Fling with the baby Kwacker - Ninja 250 R : 10K Kms Update

Hello everyone.
I got back to India in August, so glad I didn't sell the bike when I left.
I got it serviced in August when it had around 9K kms on odo.
Changed Oil and Oil filter. Changed both front and rear brake pads as they were quite worn off. Total second service cost: Rs. 6,700.00

The odo now reads 10K Kms exact. It has been a lovely journey so far. Mostly city riding and a few Lonavla, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai trips. No issues, no squeaking noises, rides likes a dream.
Will keep updating the thread now and then.

Happy riding
