Triumph expects 2,500 sales / year in India British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph, is aiming to sell 2,500 units a year in India in three years' time.
Triumph entered the Indian market in November 2013, launching 10 bikes. Since then, it has increased its portfolio by adding more products such as the Tiger 800 XCx and XRx. It is planning to further increase the Tiger range with the addition of another motorcycle that is likely to be priced at Rs. 10.50 lakh.
To increase its reach, Triumph is planning to expand its dealership network. Over the next three to four years, the company is aiming to have 20-24 dealerships across the country.
Triumph sells motorcycles priced between Rs. 5.99 lakh and Rs. 21.29 lakh in India. Among its rivals is Harley-Davidson. The American manufacturer, which formally entered India in July 2010, had plans to set up 20 dealerships and was targeting sales of 10,000 units by the end of 2015-16.
