Bajaj Pulsar AS150 spied

Bajaj just launched the all new RS200 fully faired motorcycle. While earlier spy shots revealed that Bajaj will also be launching the Pulsar AS200, it now appears that the Pulsar adventure sport will also be brought in as a 150cc model.

In comparison to the AS200, the 150 gets slimmer tyres and a drum brake at the back. Given the angle of the spy shots, it is hard to determine if the bike will get the projector headlamp seen on the AS200. The more airy engine bay and missing radiator suggest that this bike will use the same air cooled engine as the Pulsar 150.

The single pot 149cc engine makes 15 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 12.5 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm on the Pulsar 150. Tuning changes if any, remain to be seen. Like the AS200, the 150 features a transparent windshield that extends backwards for better wind deflection and a headlamp cluster that is fixed to the body.

According to the source, the motorcycle was spotted testing in Lonavala, Maharashtra and looked ready for a launch in a few weeks time.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 spied

So that would take the number of Pulsar variants (present and upcoming) to 11-

And i was hoping the range would get streamlined to 400, 200 and 150 once the new concepts were announced last year. Also, the most brilliant design of them all - the CS400 is yet to be spotted testing.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 spied

They launch an Adventure Sports bike, and give tyres (that'll put the R15 V1 to shame) and drum brakes. Ah, Bajaj!

Good job with the underbelly, though.

After observing that this is being launched to primarily eat into Impulse sales, a higher capacity version would've been a better move, considering that Hero is on it's way to launch the Impulse 200 and Impulse 250.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 spied

I bought a Pulsar AS150 about 2 weeks back. I will share a review of the bike soon.
