Ather Energy (Bangalore) gets Rs. 75 crore investment for upcoming electric 2-wheeler

Bangalore-based start-up, Ather Energy have unveiled India’s first smart electric scooter, the S340, at SURGE.

This Scooter is designed by Ather from the scratch, Ather S340 is the first electric scooter to be completely developed and manufactured in India.It is based on a lightweight aluminium chassis and is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. It has a top speed of 75 kmph and a range of around 60 kms. It takes 50 minutes to charge the batteries to 80%.

The scooter looks futuristic is a welcome change from monotonous scooter's we have in the present market. If priced correctly, I think it can be the electric scooter which can compete with petrol engine one's.
It comes with features like a digital touchscreen dashboard instead of analogue.
