Yamaha drops 5 motorcycles from its line-up

Yamaha has discontinued five motorcycle models from its India line-up. These models had been slow-sellers and had reached the end of their product cycles.

The discontinued bikes include the SS 125, SZ-RR, SZ-S, YBR 110 and YBR 125. These models have been taken off the company's official website.

This year, Yamaha introduced the Saluto 125cc motorcycle in drum and disc brake versions. This bike has replaced the SS 125 and YBR 125. While the SZ-RR has gone, the company is still selling the SZ-RR Version 2.0, which was launched in October 2014. The SZ-S, which topped the SZ range, has also been pulled out.

With the YBR 110 being retired, Yamaha has only one bike in the 100-110cc segment - the Crux.

Yamaha's domestic motorcycle range now consists of the Crux, Saluto, SZ-RR Version 2.0, FZ, FZ Version 2.0, FZS, FZS Version 2.0, Fazer, Fazer Version 2.0, YZF R15 Version 2.0 and YZF R3. The company's CBU range includes the FZ1, YZF R1, YZF R1M and VMAX.
