The ABS addition makes the NS200 a complete package. I own a 2015 example and the brakes (even though never bad) lock up too soon. I find no negative point(s) in not getting the NS200 over it's competitors now. Hell, makes even an RS200 overpriced now if fairing isn't a criteria.

12.5K just for ABS? Not sure if we are missing some other updates or is Bajaj really that greedy!

That's almost the same amounts charged by the competition. For example - TVS charges a 11k premium for the RTR 180 ABS.

TVS gives dual channel ABS, where as RS200/NS200 is a single channel ABS provided front wheel.

And TVS still has not released 200 4V with ABS yet. Its been almost 1.5 years now

In most probability you are using the Rear Brakes to stop the bike.. reason why your brakes lock up. Its almost impossible to recover from a front wheel lock.

The NS200 getting ABS on the front wheels makes it perfect for ones who use the Front brakes.

But to prevent the rear from locking up, one would still need to apply the front brakes. The Single Channel ABS won't work unless the braking habit is changed.

Only thing missing is the FI. Then it will be a complete package. Funny thing is the export variant gets FI and ABS!

Overdrive reports, ABS + Fi :2018 BAJAJ PULSAR NS200 FI WITH ABS LAUNCHED IN INDIA AT RS 1.09 LAKH

But then in the end, it quotes that it picked up the article from "Motoroids". The Fi NS200 in the photo could well be an Export Model and not the one for India.

Yes partially. I use the rear brake only at low speeds, not to stop but to slow down further. By low speeds I mean less than 35-40 kmph.

Ok.

Its the rear wheels of your bike that locks up right?

You had earlier stated that the wheels of your NS200 lock up pretty easily, I am assuming its the Rear wheels. Since its nearly impossible to recover from a front wheel lock even at slow speeds.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 ABS launched at Rs 1.08 lakh

It gets ABS and No Fi (unlike what Overdrive reported).

The only thing that doesn't work for this model now is the virtually identical Pulsar NS160. Bajaj needs to give the NS200 something that visually make it exclusive from the NS160
