New TVS scooter spotted testing. EDIT: Launched as Ntorq 125

Last month, we had posted spy images of a scooter being tested on the outskirts of Bangalore. A video has surfaced on the internet featuring a similar test mule. Reports indicate that this is the new TVS scooter based on the Graphite concept that was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo.

It is difficult to comment on the design of the scooter, since it is wrapped in heavy camouflage. However, few details that are visible include a split rear grab handles, alloy wheels and the shape of the exhaust muffler which is identical to the test mule that was spotted earlier.

The person who shot the video can be seen traveling at 90-100 km/h on his Aprilia SR 150. The video suggests that the speed of the test mule would be at least 100 km/h. This indicates that TVS might be entering the performance scooter segment with this bike. The Graphite concept had features like an electronic key, inbuilt immobilizer and dual channel ABS. It will be interesting to see what features are added on the production version of the bike.

There has been no official word on the upcoming 150 cc scooter from TVS. However, the company might reveal it at the 2018 Auto Expo.

TVS certainly looks to be going places, this might come a whole after the new apache 310 tough, TVS is known to have conservative launch schedules. Hoping they do release it with some never before seen features in the segment, except the Aprila twins the others are getting boring.

A test mule of the new 150 cc scooter by TVS was spotted near Bangalore in November 2017. A video has surfaced online which reveals some more details about the upcoming scooter, dubbed as 'TVS Graphite'.

The scooter appears to have a bulky front cowl with a V-shaped headlamp. The turn signals have been integrated into the handlebar housing. It has a digital instrument cluster instead of conventional dials and even gets an engine kill switch. The seat has contrast red stitching and has been provided with a split rear grab handle. The fuel-filler has been placed just behind the seat. The scooter has a V-shaped LED tail light and turn indicators placed below it.

The test mule is seen riding on telescopic suspension in the front suspension and has single rear shock absorber. It has multi-spoke alloy wheels and a petal-type disc brake in the front and drum brake in the rear.

There has been no official word about the engine that could be powering this test scooter. However, media reports suggest that it might have a 150 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine and will be positioned as a performance scooter. The scooter will likely be revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo.

The registration is from UP. TVS test vehicles are usually TN registered. So this might not be a TVS scooter. In fact, this might be a Hero scooter.

If so i wonder what its doing at a tvs showroom. Either it is indeed a TVS, or quite a few people are gonna be losing their job.

Looks like an upgraded version of a mass market 125cc scooter, which would make it the only one in the market, as there isn't an affordable and practical 150cc scooter available.

Didn't like the stance of the scooter, looks too bulky. Although it looks very comfortable and is cruising effortlessly in the video posted.

I can see the rise of such belly level fixed headlamp scooters. Dio/ Ray / Grazia / Upcoming Burgman and now this. Wonder how this fixed light is better than hadlebar headlight except for looks.

re: New TVS scooter spotted testing. EDIT: Launched as Ntorq 125

With 9.3bhp and 10.5 Nm torque, this will surely be a fast scooter. Bluetooth and Engine kill switch are first in segments. Priced aggressively and i hope will do very well against Access125 and Activa125 and even outsell them. However as @animeher sir said about belly fixed headlamps, it seems quite similar to Grazia/Dio/Ray.
