Castrol Power Active 1 @ 25,000 K

Hey Guys,

My Bike(TVS Victor 2002) has crossed 25 K mark this month and i am planning to change the Engine Oil(Previously changed @ 20 K ) and Chain as it had started developing a strange sound. The dealer has recommended to go for CastroL Power Active 1 which costs around Rs 230/- and chain for Rs.800/-.Is the price OK and can we use Castrol Power Active 1.Will this deliver Smooth Performance and good ride?

Get 2 cans of Castrol GTX Magnatec for 96Rs each....much much better than all other castrol oils its rated at 15W-40. You get 3 liter magnatec cans for 630Rs, 10W-40 rating

Jk,

I am not sure about the exact name.Think your's is correct it is Power Active 1.Magnatec is no longer available in TN.The dealer says that this goes well compared to Magnatec.

regarding ur chain.. check up if it is loose? caz it does make a strange sound.
if its not the loose thingy check if all the chain links are fine and not broken. if it is borken time for a new chain set. Also do check up ur front and rear sprocket.

Hi nosfreak,

The problem was with the Chain. It had lost some of it's metal and also got loose. So I have changed the chain for Rs.690/- and also changed the Engine oil to Castrol Power Active 1.The bike is amazingly smooth now without any hassles. Thanks for your adivce and interest in replying to the post.

i would still recommend Castrol Active 4T, enough for ur bike.If u wanna spend 230 bucks the go for Power 1..
I don't think ur chain is due for a replacement.Just get it tightened and lubed.
