Hero Duet 125 renamed as Destini 125

A set of images leaked on the internet indicate that Hero MotoCorp has renamed the Duet 125 as the Destini 125. The re-badged scooter was recently showcased to dealers along with the new Maestro Edge 125.

The Destini 125 gets chrome inserts on the front apron and along the sides. It has triangular turn-indicators, a dual-tone headlamp housing and body-coloured mirrors. The scooter comes with a flat seat with a silver grab handle. It has an analogue speedometer with a digital readout and an external fuel filler positioned above the wraparound tail lamp cluster.

The Destini 125 comes with a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear and rides on black alloy wheels. The scooter is expected to be offered with a 124.6 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which produces 8.7 BHP @ 6,750 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque @ 5,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission.

Re: Hero Duet 125 renamed as Destini 125

After trying for a very long time, finally got to test ride the Destini 125 in Bangalore. Courtesy Bimal Hero. Superb scooter, but misses on LED lights and 12-inch wheels. Hero showrooms are their worst enemy as they're just not interested in selling.
Two weeks back I went to their oldest dealer Prakash Motors and all the test ride vehicles are taken for personal use by staff. Bimal motors had the whole rear light smashed in, on the demo vehicle. Felt bad seeing this on a scooter that has run just a few KMS. Now, I'm interested, but scared to take a step fearing bad service and uninterested sales guys! These things don't happen at TVS or Suzuki!
One important point is that they're least interested in our old Activa which 'everyone' is so interested in buying! They quote 5K, "take it or leave it"
