As per a report from the Economic Times - various sources have confirmed to them off the record that Royal Enfield is planning its biggest offensive ever - to counter the invasion into the Indian midsize segment, as announced by rival companies like Triumph and Harley Davidson. Work has already commenced at the company’s UK development centre, with critical feedback from India.

A dozen models are planned over next three to five years, offering a range of new bikes from 350 cc to 650 cc and above.

Platform J - Next generation of domestic motorcycles. 350 - 500cc.
Platform P - The upcoming 650 platform - Interceptor and Continental 650s.

Platform Q - Motorcycles rivalling the likes of Triumph Thruxton.
Platform K - Even bigger motorcycles, above 700cc.

The report also states that RE is hiring top talent from other companies and also focussing on improving their production facilities.
