Royal Enfield has released a teaser image of an upcoming motorcycle. The new model will be showcased at the 2018 International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan on November 6, 2018.

The bike maker hasn't revealed any details about the new model. However, the teaser image suggests that it could be a Bobber-style bike. It has a circular headlamp and it appears to have a flat and wide handlebar. The motorcycle has a single seat and large alloy wheels and tyres.

In 2017, Royal Enfield unveiled the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 at EICMA. The 650cc twins share the same chassis. While the Interceptor 650 is a street bike, the latter is a cafe racer. Both the bikes are powered by a 648cc, twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 47 BHP and 52 Nm of torque. However, it is unclear whether the new Bobber will get the same twin-cylinder engine from the 650cc twins.

Looks radically different from what they have on offer right now. Looks more like the Indian Scout than an Enfield motorcycle- which is a compliment. I just hope this is an upcoming motorcycle unveil and not just a custom meant just for the show. If it is indeed an upcoming launch, and if it features the 650cc twin, then I would really be confused on where to put my money :D

650cc Bobber? that would be stretching it.. What it is it overbore 650 to 700?

Personally I am not a big fan of RE, but I am loving what they are doing these days and personally tempted to have one..

PS: stock price is tempting BTW these days..

Are we looking at the silhouette of Classic 650?

Good question. I have the same doubt too - the tank whatever is seen looks the same as the Classic range.

Will wait for EICMA

Back when I started saving up for an unknown Royal Enfield twin cylinder motorcycle, I was certainly hoping it would be a RE Classic based bike. I loved the bike, its seating position and the looks too, but just couldn't stand the vibrations that the 500cc thumper put out.

But looking at the teaser image, it looks much lower than the Classic and also seems to have a really long wheelbase. Good news is that I can see the oil cooler behind the front wheel, so it most probably has to be the Himalayan's 410cc or the new 650c twin, or maybe the all-new 350cc which might replace the UCE 350.

I somehow cannot take my mind away from an Indian Scout though..

Most certainly not. The land speed record bike has totally different ergonomics, the Continental GT650's fuel tank, really low set handle bars, and most importantly it has no head light!

Could be RE's take on a bagger based on the rear profile. Or it could be a bobber.

Somehow looks to me like a normal Classic with may be wider tires, LED headlamps and Alloy wheels. The tank atleast looks very similar to Classic. The wrap is doing the trick here and making it appear very different.

Also looked like Classic to me but compare with the profile bellow.

The vertical height between the headlight and front mudguard is definitely lesser. The seat (more curved) and the headlamp (slammed-in) are also more "bobber-like" The whole bike looks lowered.

Just might be a Bobber!

I dont think we should get our hopes up. It is most likely a cosmetic lift of the Classic with the same old engine [most likely 5OO cc]. I am pretty sure RE will not plonk the twins on a new bike even before getting any sort of public feedback.

It looks like this is what they are going for.

I find something odd with teaser image, bike appears stretched a bit.
Distance between end of tank and supposedly single seat saddle is bit too far, in addition overall bike length appears too long. Someone might have taken creative liberties to tease, however it should look proportionate.

Classic version of the new interceptor platform?

That has headlamps much lower. Here's a quick photoshop work on the Interceptor 650 for comparison -

PS: Rear is looking disproportionately small because of the missing mudguard and taillamps. Dont have that much skill and time to add those.

Prior to the bobber, i thought RE could have come up with a scrambler.
Mate the 650 cc power plant with the himalayan, a more bare bones motorcycle with knobby tires, better suspension and there we have it - an RE Scrambler.
