Aprilia Storm 125 launched at Rs 65,000

Aprillia has launched the Storm 125 at Rs 65,000/- ex showroom Pune.

Storm 125 was earlier showcased at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. It forms the entry-level scooter in their range priced Rs 8000/- cheaper than the SR 125. Dealerships have begun accepting bookings since the start of the week

Based on the SR 125, the scooter gets a matte finish paint, black livery and two colour options - matte yellow and matte red. The biggest mechanical difference is the change to 12-inch wheels fitted with 120/80 front and 130/80 rear dual-purpose tyres, as against the 14 inchers on the SR125. The new variant also misses out on disc brakes on either end, the drum brakes, however, gets CBS as standard.

The same 124.9cc air-cooled, single-cylinder motor produces 9.6PS of power and 9.9Nm of torque.

Saw the bike today at Motoplex Bangalore. More like a cheaper version of SR125, nothing more to say. Looks the same as SR125 which again looks like SR150. The quality near the meter console and all was much better on the SR150 compared to the Storm. Mostly test rides wont be there as per the dealer and they will offer SR125 instead of this as both are similar. Eye catchy color though, a budget Aprilia scooter otherwise.
