the real karizma killer would be the 220...but in terms of sales this may just do the trick...

Ok, what's with Bajaj selling a Pulsar in every +10cc bracket? 150, 180, 200, 220. What can possibly differentiate a 180 from a 200 in the minds of an enthusiast? The 180 looks like it's going to get a quiet burial.

Longer wheelbase...
120/80 tubeless at rear.
90/90 tubeless at front...
New tank design (I feel 200 is the best looking of the pulsars... even more than the 220)

Price is just even to the karizma... I think its the karizma thats gonna be burried (if it hasnt been already)

what happened to your Maths its at evey 20+ cc.

I wish we Indians make the 220 cc a success, so that other bike manufacturers have guts to get even bigger bikes. Otherwise the 220cc will also have the same fate as the RD350, which should not happened.

Please poeple, buy the 220cc.

And if somebody wants to say "why dont you buy it". I am going to buy it for sure.

Evo, 90% of their sales used to be from the 150. They cannot afford to kill their econo-sporty golden goose.

Well, you still don't see anyone selling a Baleno 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.6 all together, do you?

Lets not forget that Rahul Bajaj once made gave a statement that he wants to eliminate the entire bike range under 150cc...
( or 100cc) if he can make such bold statement so i think he can take such steps as well.

Also if you see it this way.. Bajaj are the only people who are bringing radical ideas into people's mind. And from where i see Honda and Yamaha are just there to follow the leader... But thats not how Business runs right ! You have to take risks, at times it fails (for bajaj consider SX Endura)but at times it might hit the jackpot and the best example is PULSAR. Need we say anything more.

Bajaj is trying to feed the Indian youth with taste. slowly and sweetly
and i wouldn’t be shocked if some day he declares a Proper 600cc + sports bike for Indian roads.

At this point you might say " Purchasing power " and i have Two word
"Premium" & "EMI".

As far as i know...

The statement was that Bajaj will quit the 100cc segment...

(They are not quitting the basic segment in India, just that they are not gonna make 100cc bikes anymore... Seems he is pretty confident he can bring 125cc bikes at the price of the 100cc commuters... )

Why is that this bike doesnt have a kick-starter? What happens if for some reason or the other the self-starter doesnt work ? I am not able to appreciate this change. Can someone throw more light on this one ?

Actually the series starts at 125cc (Discover) although its not callled Pulsar, its the same Dtsi engine. so its 125 cc all the way to 220.

Now Yamaha supposedly is planning to come out with a 165 cc bike. Its getting crazy with 110 cc, 115 cc, 223 cc scattered all over the place.

apparantly its because its a fuel injectected one...so if the self started does not work...only option is to push start it....BTW can anyone confirm if the herohonda FI bike has a kick start or not.
