1. Not fair to compare since I couldn't see both bikes together, but my gut feeling says KTM has a definite edge in terms of quality. R15 V3 never felt impressive to me in terms of visible quality, as compared to the earlier generations.

2. Commuter'ish is the exact word that came to my mind and I have used above as well.
