Don has been more restful than regular due to incessant rains in Hyderabad.

I purchased the Bike blazer cover for Don and am yet to install it on the bike. It costed me Rs. 850/-
I got the bar end mirrors installed at Jawa showroom and they costed me Rs. 1690/-

"me, want One" seems to be a powerful mantra.

Well... they say that universe conspires to make things happen, if you soulfully aspire for anything. "Me, want One" saw me taking the delivery of a new Jawa 42 Dual channel ABS one on 23rd October.
I was lucky to get it as my friend who booked one, left to US for 3 years secondment called me to know the cancellation process.
I jumped on it and said, I will take the bike delivery and in turn will sell my single channel Jawa 42. The rest is history.

Don and me went for a Sunday morning ride, yesterday.

What else could a Sunday morning be for?

The throttle to open,
The wide road to enjoy,
The chill in the air blowing on the face,
The vista's of Mother nature to entice you,
The lovely Jawa 42 to take you places!

The bike has a nice feel on the highway too. Some observations from my 141 kms ride:

1. Seat is a 'sore' point, for sure
2. Above 90 kmph speeds, the bar end mirrors do vibrate
3. The wide handle of Jawa 42 is convenient and does not cause any inconvenience
4. Engine heat is not an issue at all

Don took it easy and will post back the mileage returned for this drive.

Don went visiting RTA this weekend, as the number we were waiting for Don has been released. I reserved the number by paying the requisite fees and Saturday, was a busy day. Don felt happy when it saw some of its peers at RTA. Don will soon sport its permanent registration/identification license plates.

Don2(Dual ABS Jawa 42) had its first servicing yesterday completed. Engine oil, oil filter, were replaced. Brakes were inspected and pads sanded for better grip. All electricals were checked and the bike was given a good wash. It costed me Rs. 1770/- for the same.

Mohan and Sam at Motocult, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad are great technicians and have a good eye for detail. Many thanks to them for taking care of Don2.

Met a very abled cousin-Perak at the dealership. Perak looks and sounds amazing, for sure. The exhaust note is deep and awesome!!

Re: Got 'Jawa'fied! Don - my Jawa 42 - comes home

Hi @getsurya how is Don 2 doing now? I recently picked up my Jawa 42 in Nebula Blue (Dual channel). Some things I changed immediately - Headlight changed to 4200k Led bulb, Handle bar end mirrors installed and seat also changed. I am currently finding the ride quality very firm and hard still and the service centre guys told me it will become softer after 1000km. What was your experience in this regard? Any other changes / updates that you did to your bike?

Re: Got 'Jawa'fied! Don - my Jawa 42 - comes home

Got my Jawa 42 BS6 today. The catalytic converter has changed. The chrome covering is missing, might get it in a month or so. The sound has changed, it is sounding more refined. It has become heavier by 9kgs.
In the fuse box, the fuses' orientation has also changed.
