Pune-based electric two-wheeler maker Avan Motors unveiled two new concept e-vehicles at the Pune Motor Show 2019 on September 20, 2019. The company says the vehicles were showcased to assess the mass-response to the concepts and move to the production phase based on further research.

In terms of specification, the company says the first concept e-vehicle will be powered by a 72V/22Ah lithium-Ion battery, with a range of 80-200km per charge. The e-scooter will be powered by a 1200W motor, have a maximum speed of 60kph, and will be fitted with 90/90-10 tyres.

The second variant will be equipped with a 60V/35Ah lithium-ion battery, with a range of 50-80km per charge and will have a top speed of 45kph. Its 90/80-12 3.00-10 tyres will be fuelled by an 800 W motor. Both models will come with disc brakes in the front, while in the rear, the company will offer drum brakes.

Pankaj Tiwari, India Business Head, Avan Motors said, "We are thrilled to reveal our new concept e-vehicles through a platform as prestigious as the Pune Motor Show. The team at Avan Motors has left no stone unturned to ideate the perfect combination of best-in-class features and stunning design. We are anticipating positive reviews for both concepts after which we will move on to the production phase. Currently, we are in the R&D phase which will continue until we create a leading-edge product that can disrupt the Indian sustainable mobility space."

I am new to this EV scooters and am planning to migrate to one in near future. Only one question:

Shouldn't a EV with higher Ah / lower consumption motor provide a higher mileage?.

Point being variant 2 should have a higher range in kms than variant 1?.

wouldn't it not be more appropriate, IMHO, if companies just give their Wh/km figures?. Its that factor which is equivalent to " Kitna deti hai". In EV's case, unlike the "Kitna deti hai" figure for ICE, lower the wh/km the better the mileage.
