Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition launched at Rs 1.72 lakh

Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition launched at Rs 1.72 lakh

Only 90 units and will be allocated via a lucky draw.

Looks like a tatkal ticket for those who want to jump the queue.

Re: Mahindra is bringing Jawa back. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 1.55 lakh

One thing that has been making me think twice about this bike is the seat. I wish they would make the pillion seat longer, or hope to see aftermarket options. I haven't checked out the bike personally yet, but I can't imagine that seat being very useful for a family especially if the rider is.. let's say, well padded all around, and the pillion rider isn't far behind (pun unintended).

Look at the vintage Jawa, that seat looks much more usable.

Aftermarket seats would be nice.

It's a yezdi in the photos not a Jawa - the original Indian Jawas had a slightly smaller seat which was not rectangular. Sitting on the back of one of them was interesting, especially on a bumpy road (no grabrail!)

Believe a seat cover, an official accessory from Classic Legends solve cushioning. Seat length would still be an issue, I recall metal backrest used in Yezdi's. Longer seats might alter the basic structure of bike, so wouldn't recommend.

Meanwhile, there is a lot of resentment being shown by many existing customers in social media!

While customers are still waiting for deliveries of their bikes booked in 2018, here Jawa has announced immediate delivery for those who book their anniversary edition versions.

Looks like this guy went ahead and did it: https://gaadiwaadi.com/customised-ja...nd-purposeful/

That's kinda what I would like, I have a feeling a lot more people would consider this bike if Jawa offered this kind of seat off the shelf as an accessory.

It's by a lucky draw, they can put their name in raffle too if lucky they can pick this and cancel current booking.

Resentment is the new IN thing with progress of social media.

Here is a free idea for Jawa to keep those angry customers happy. Why dont you design another 1 year anniversary edition that can be delivered to customers who waited 12 months for their bikes after booking them in late 2018?

I say this tongue in cheek of course .....

Re: Jawa 90th Anniversary Edition launched at Rs 1.72 lakh

3 quick points-
1. I don't see many Jawas on road. Either they don't have presence or not present at all
2. Team BHP motorcycle stats shows negligible numbers rolled out to dealerships
3. There are more wait logs on forums then actual ownership reviews
