Honda has announced a service campaign to inspect the rear cushion on the Dio, Activa 125 and Activa 6G.



According to Honda, the company has identified a suspected quality issue in the rear cushion which may result in oil leakage or breakage. Scooters manufactured between February 14-25, 2020 are said to be affected by this issue.

The campaign will start in mid-March, 2020. Honda will check and replace the suspected part if it is found to be defective. It will be replaced free of cost irrespective of warranty status of the vehicle.

Great to see major manufacturers acknowledging product defects & taking remediation steps.

In Honda's language, they mean "Rear shock absorber". Parts catalogue of these scooters/motorcyles and the erstwhile Hero-Honda products also use the same language.
