Honda will bear interest cost of its 2-wheeler's dealer inventory

Honda will bear the interest cost of BS6 inventory with dealers during the 21 day nationwide lockdown. The bikemaker will also buy back unsold BS4 stock lying with few dealers in the Delhi NCR area.

Over the past 16 months, dealerships across India have been struggling due to slow sales. The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic further impacted the business as sales dried up just when dealers were looking to move the BS4 stock off the shelves.

Therefore, Honda has introduced this financial support package to assist its dealers during these difficult times. It is expected to ease their anxiety and improve cash flow.

Although this is a very welcome move, but can anyone please verify the news article? Last time such a news was circulated for HeroMotocorp too, but it was fake and users/dealers verified that.
