TVS revives Fiero name; trademark filed

TVS has filed a trademark for the 'Fiero 125' name, which indicates that the bike maker is reviving the Fiero name.

TVS hasn't had a 125cc motorcycle in its portfolio for some time now. The company has its presence in the 110cc segment and could be looking to fill the gap between the Star City+ and the Apache RTR Series.

The TVS Fiero was launched in the year 2000 and was pitted against models like the Hero Honda CBZ and Bajaj Pulsar. Given the fact that the original Fiero had a sporty appearance, the new 125cc bike could also borrow a few traits from it.

The TVS Fiero 125 could compete with the Honda SP125, Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon and Hero Glamour.

Not current news.

The screenshot clearly shows that TVS applied for registration for FIERO on 2002 and it has been registered too long back.

The last 125 cc bike they had was the Phoenix. It was quite an under rated commuter bike - gave good mileage, was nimble to maneuver and had decent ride quality. Pity they discontinued it sometime in 2017.

Though unconventional compared to the CBZ during its time, this was one heck of a nimble bike!!! Never ever did it feel like a bulky 150! Though couldn't own one, it was my favorite!!

Hope TVS revives to its original iteration and does not end up doing a Santro!!!

TVS Fiero 125 is right, and it is happening! @TusharK just got the image wrong.

Here's the correct image:

TVS is really gearing up for a big portfolio expansion!

Thought they would stick with the integrated indicator-headlight/tail lights cluster like on OG Fiero. It was such a standout feature and made it quirky.
Don't think it was good looking but was different. The new one looks like dozen other naked bikes.

The strongest point of the Fiero was the robust suzuki engine that it had, hope the new one lives up to its predecessors name.

At the end of the teaser, a logo flashes with the release date. Thats an R.
Maybe the title would be something along the lines of Raider or Retron as trademarked before, but definitely not fiero.
My guess would be the Retron. Raider also sounds good.
