Dont jump in to buy the pulsar 200!! Wait for the 220

All u guys who just cant wait to jump in and buy the pulsar dtsi 200, i suggest that u prolong ur wait a little longer cause Bajaj will be out with the pulsar DTSI FI 220 mid-may in Mumbai.. this is a confirmed piece of info and the bike would be priced at around 88k on road mumbai. the only drawback being that like its sibling the pulsar 200, this one too will be avaliable only at the Bajaj-pro-biking showrooms with a waitng period of 2 months!!

The 220 is a far more superior to its other siblings (pulsar 200 included) with better specs and about 50 units were sold in pune already in dec and feb in two phases of 25 units..looks wise too it looks a lot meaner..and so have the test rides proven it

the bombay launch is now inevittable and looks like the mumbaiyaas are finall going to get thier hadns on a mini ndianized SBK!!

here are some pics and reviews

Both bikes address different price categories, almost everyone participating in forums knows that the 220 is coming, no need to post some thing of this sort.

It’s up to individuals to decide whether they want to go for the 220 or buy the 200, even if the 220 was available in the market, you will still see people purchasing 200.

Pulsar 220 and Pulsar 200 are two different bikes catering to two different segments. Pulsar 200 is a bike which more practical giving an average of nearly 50 to 52 consistently and also costing 17000 less than 220 is more practical.

Taking an overall running of 100 Km on daily basis that difference of 17000 is equal to 6 months of petrol for the bike. But I am still waiting for 220

The title is misleading, I thought there was some manufacturing glitch which crept out.

Anyways, IMO Pulsar 200 looks better than 220 (atleast from the pics). They should atleast come up with all black styling for 220 before full fledged production starts....

P220 looks more enhanced on the cosmetic front and looks much meaner than P200. Also, does P220 comes with an FI injection system that HH was the first to launch in India?

I think they should think of putting in some more power in the bike and stop worrying about mileage as people buying the 220 would be concerned about the pick up and power.

A P200 returns a mielage only around 40 kmpl. My friend has one.

The P220 has been sold only in Pune and for the second batch, the on-road price was 87K in Pune. So definitely will be much more in Mumbai, if and when its released.

@Sohail-: The one u saw in Mumbai might have been a red one. It was purchased in Pune and registered there...

The guy stays at Vasant Vihar at thane!

a total misleading title name. Mods : listening

devil_in_flesh : the p200 and the p220 , both cater to different needs, you cant compare the two bikes buddy!

Bajaj is coming up with a line up like this :
100cc,110cc,125cc,135cc,150cc,180cc,200cc,220cc

according to ur post, one shouldnt buy the 100cc coz there is a 110cc bike. one shouldnt buy the 125cc disco, coz there is the new 135cc disco and so on!

Somehow this thread has both a misleading title, and nothing concrete to offer. That the P220 is coming is something we have been hearing for a long time, and also Techocrat has put up reviews too.

This thread is useless, you are right torqueunlimited but when ever it comes to P220, I just cannot help. As far as the bike seen here in Mumbai, I want to know more details about the person who bought it from Pune. I want to check out the bike in details. Please can someone give me the telephone number of this guy from Vasant Vihar.
