2021 Benelli Imperiale 400 launched at Rs. 1.89 lakh

Benelli has launched the Imperiale 400 for the 2021 model year in India. The bike costs Rs. 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 2021 Imperiale 400 costs Rs.10,000 less than the BS6 version which was launched last year. According to the company, a stronger rupee and increased localised content enabled it to reduce the price of the bike.

The Imperiale 400 is powered by a 374cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that puts out 20.71 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 29 Nm @ 3,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The bike comes equipped with 41 mm telescopic fork suspension at the front and has twin shock absorbers at the rear. It has disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.

The Imperiale 400 is now offered with a 2-year / unlimited km warranty. Benelli is also offering a 2-year extended warranty and roadside assistance.

Any good reason to consider this bike? I feel Meteor 350 is far more appealing in the retro styling and stands equal in terms of power. Additionally I get more customized options and service every where in the country.

This launch only reminds me what a kickass bike the Jawa 42 is! Cheapest, most powerful, looks amazing, the lightest amongst Benelli, RE and Honda... I think

Great job absolutely screwing it up Mahindra... you unworthy owner of a legendary marque

As for this one, it looks absolutely gorgeous! Don't like how the RE looks. Honda looks pretty good though. In this segment, the CB would be my pick for sure

I have had a look at Benelli Imperiale recently and the bike looks delish. After the Jawa fiasco, I would be interested in this bike for sure since I am no fan of RE.

Desperately wanted Jawa to provide me a test ride but they dithered and Honda still doesn’t have a big wing showroom yet in my city although I have heard they are coming up with one.

With reduced prices, Imperiale definitely is back into my radar and would love to have a look again.

They had to reduce the price to stay in the game after the launch of Meteor & Highness bikes. Both of these would be the better choice for most of the folks choosing a cruiser bike around 2 lakhs price range. Without alluring with lesser price, Benelli would have surely lost the battle!
