Having opened its first retail store in Ahmedabad last month, Ather Energy has now introduced its 450X electric scooter in Jaipur.



Ather Energy has partnered with Akhand Distributors to open the first Ather Space in Jaipur. The showroom, which is located at BL Tower-2 on Tonk Road, near the Durgapura Flyover will open in April 2021.

Ather has already started offering test rides in Jaipur due to a surge in bookings, enquiries and test ride requests from the city. Besides, customers can also get information about the vehicle as well as the different ownership and purchase models.

Ather Energy will install about 3-4 Ather Grid fast charging points in the city by next month and double it by the end of 2021. The company is looking to partner with cafes, restaurants, tech parks, malls and gyms to set up charging stations in the city. At present, there are over 120 public fast charging points across more than 17 cities.

The 450X is powered by an electric motor that has a peak output of 8 BHP and 26 Nm. Ather claims that it will accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 80 km/h. The 2.5 kWh lithium-ion battery offers a maximum range of 70 km on single charge. In Eco mode, range increases to 85 km. It takes 3 hours 35 mins to recharge the battery to 80% of its capacity. The battery can be recharged to 100% in 5 hours 45 mins.

I was eagerly waiting for Ather to come to Jaipur. Durgapura is near to my home and I shall definitely go and check out the scooter.
Jaipur is a big city but I don't know why it come later in the priority list of various companies!!
