Looking at spy pictures of Hunter 350, noticed a new Himalayan. Seems they have removed all touring mods

1. Windscreen, replaced it with a headlight cowl
2. Front panniers removed
3. removed upper mudguard
4. single long seat instead of split seat
5. basic luggage rack, without loading plate

This could be a Scrambler version or a lower spec Himalayan to compete against Xpulse??

Nice catch! Old Royal Enfield joke - "Arre baba, the reason you dont see all those parts is because they must have fallen off. Its a Royal Enfield."

I think that Royal Enfield cleaned up one of their test mules for the comfort and / or convenience of their riders. I dont think there is a smaller 350cc Himalayan coming. It doesnt make sense from a product positioning perspective. Both the Indian and the international market is asking for a Himalayan with a bit more grunt and bit less weight. Nobody is asking for a Himalayan with less power output and less / similar weight. Royal Enfield has their finger on the pulse of the market.

But Im sure that it will not stop our popular Indian motorcycling websites from speculating about the launch of the Himalayan 350.

That's just a regular Himalayan accompanying the Hunter test mule! The cosmetic mods seen on this particular motorcycle isn't substantial enough to speculate an Xpulse rival.
