New Unicorn problems

Hi All,
Recently I bought "all new" Unicorn. It has done ~ 800 kms (first servicing done).
I'm having problems with clutch judder in first gear (when taking off from standstill).
Also once I cross ~ 4000 rpm mark, the engine loses its smoothness and I can sense the vibrations and the noise is also quite audible.
I had stated the first problem to the servicing person & he did some tweaking. But after running the bike for 100 kms, the clutch judder seems to have come back.

What could be the problem here??

Thanks,
rb2399

RB what exactly do you mean by clutch judder? Also my old version Unicorn makes a sound at 4k ++ rpm. Any bike will.

The bike does not accelerate smoothly in 1st gear (only) & that too at places like signals where you stop and start again....It's a jerky motion.
The 4000 rpm I'm talking about here is in all the gears;be it 1st or 5th.

Thanks,

the clutch may be too tight which may be the cause.

Try to re-adjust the clutch and also make sure that the cable is not stuck anywhere.

At 800 kms your bike would not have completed its run-in period as yet. I would suggest you do not force it at such high rpm levels. Till the engine properly beds it tends to feel a bit harsh at high rpm. Thats natural.

Also, what is clutch judder with respect to a bike?

1.check the clutch cable if the cable inside is properly lubricated.
2.check if the choke cable is in proper condition i.e. if its jammed or harder.
i had the same problem of jerking and found out that my choke cable was jammed due to rain. it happened this reason and my bike is new too i bought this april. but i chose the non mag version!

the problem can also be from the improper setting of the crab, before the runin period no bike gives the optimal mileage for the crab is set to pour in more fuel to ensure correct completion of bike's runin as this ensures there is enough fuel in the engine to lubricate it.
if the crab is not been tuned by a experienced mechanic after the first service the above mentioned problems are inevitable!
