Just a few days more to the event. With more than 1700 registrations from Bangalore alone, I am sure this will be one helluva Rider Mania event...

Is there any app where all such riders can be viewed on Google map and help can be quickly sought and provided among riders?

I saw one called Traeser from Google Play. I have created a public group called "Rider Mania 2022". I am trying to figure out of it really works.

Also read somewhere that Strava can used for this purpose.

Anyone else is already using or can suggest such an app?

Just a few more days for the big event to get started and with 10091 registrations till now, this year, the footfall will be huge.

I am anxious to know which vendors are going to set up stalls at the venue and if any special discounts are available.

RE will definitely will have their stall for both apparel and riding gear. Off late, have seen 'Shell only' adverts in instagram for RE jackets, check it out if interested.
Looking at social media posts, Rynox(riding gear) is also going to have their stall. Expect some stalls for Automotive themed apparel from likes of 100kmph, Trip-n-me or others.

Sadly, I won't be joining rider mania this year. It sure is bigger and better than the earlier events. What excites me is RM 2023. Especially since am waiting for a new product launch that happens next year from them.

The experience I had in 2014, kept me waiting for the next year's. Unfortunately, priorities changed but the intention was always there, which I could ultimately fulfill this year.

But will 2022 act as the precursor to the 2023 mega event? Only time will say and I know it works out wonders.

After having been skipped the last two years due to Covid, I was yearning to be there and they did a fabulous job this time. The event was super, ignoring minor annoyances with parking and entry tag issuance, it was roaring hit. This time around 18000 visitors thronged the event, what with the pent up demand. The stalls, competition as usual and many curated events were very enjoyable. The music parties in the evening was the cream of the event.
This time they allowed all kinds of bikes entry to the venue along with RE bikes, there were Suzukis, KTMs, Triumphs and even some Hondas. Lots of vsitor seating areas in the venue with bean bags and tables which made it very comfortable to roam endlessly with free flowing beer
The officially released the SuperMeteor and opened bookings.

The day started a day in advance with our group of riding buddies starting from Pune on the morning of 17th itself. En route came across other groups, some riding from Pune while some started from Mumbai etc. In fact our morning meetup place got a bit confusing with two groups having the same meetup point. Below are some of the images of Day 1, the day when we reached the venue and collected the Rider Mania aka Motoverse kit.

On Day 1, we reached the event quite early and then ended up waiting outside for us to get inside. Now, since the events were spread across three fields, one had the option to explore options at the remaining fields (say A)

To give an idea of the event ground, people who have visited in past can relate. The main show (and stalls) were still there at the original venue, where one passes through the gate. The place where Bullets used to be parked in earlier years, was turned into an exclusive RE extravaganza. Here, one could look at the various REs and customs, also had stalls from players like Ceat, etc. This field was about 80% RE showcasing from custom models, to custom helmets to scale model displays alongside dioramas plus UNESCO. Also, there was a huge covered place in the middle where one could seat on bean bags. This section I am referring to as A.

To the right of this, during earlier years I had seen a half-covered mountain. This year, it was all cleared and turned into BIG parking plus Open air shows. Yes, the parking was big with no restrictions, anybody could park their two-wheelers over there. This ground also had the RE servicing plus shops from players like Raw Stone etc. In fact, the parking was so huge that one ended up walking quite a bit if he is not aware of the alternate exits and chose the same way where he came in. This was a wastage of space as people chose to park their bullets outside, at the pay and park sections.

Found this eatery bang opposite Double Tree by Hilton, which remains open all night and serves excellent breakfast, well within budget and taste. Blue Flame is another diagonal to this place, and serves good quality food



We had headed for the Garage cafe but was denied entry as RE was conducting some meetings over there and the entire venue had been booked for the duration. We headed a little towards the beach and got some excellent breakfast over there.

Which invariably had to be followed up by a customary visit to the Mango Tree



But the attraction for the day was the 1:3 scale model of Royal Enfields which have been handcrafted by Royal Enfield themselves. These are no Maisto stuff. I personally collect scale models (1:64) and therefore could only appreciate the monumental quality these gems have. Also had the privilege of interacting with a gentleman from the Design team, who informed me that RE is working on these scale models for all their releases, currently in production. I was obviously most interested in a Forest Green model of B500. but that I guess, will probably never ever materialize. These models come with a working type clutch, brake levers, and an ignition key. I did not try the gear lever though ( I was simply awestruck with this ART and visited all three days) I typically wanted to know if RE is also thinking to bring some sort of a working engine under this; might be too far fetched as I was all bowled up, but the gentleman did not deny either. Putting it over here, as some of you might be interested in these life-like scale models. These are worth a gem. Price is approx 70K. Please enjoy some of the pictures

Thanks for the report and some lovely pictures. Which route you guys took from Pune and how was the road condition (for cruiser bikes)?
