Limited? Such paint jobs termed as limited editions and expecting huge sales. I think such days are over, Indian consumers no more fall prey to such paint oriented limited edition gimmicks.
Every vehicle coming out now, wants to name it 'sport' or 'GT' or Limited edition. Eventually those 'terms' have lost sanctity.

Nothing wrong in naming something "limited edition" if the production numbers are going to be limited.

Though the RTR160RP is the gold standard for how limited editions ought to be, atleast as far as the Indian 2 wheeler market is concerned, and that's not even that high a bar.

But yeah, calling this paint variant "Sports" is just laughable.

Nothing to see here, just another lucrative squid-luring sticker-job on a Dio. 73k ex-showroom for a Dio would've been laughable back in 2012....

The quality of plastics in the Dio are simply pathetic. They become dull and grey real quick and the ride quality is also strictly for low speeds. And I am saying this as I own one.

Re: Honda Dio Sports limited edition launched at Rs. 68,317

Seeing all these do called "special editions" with some artist's figment of special imaginative sticker art and the sticker combos adorning the same assembly line body and power plant, I regret to see what Bajaj missed out, right since the time it had so many updated newer sticker adornments on its Platina /CT and Discover bikes. They could have launched at least ten special editions of the two bikes.

After some years of use in many cases these stickers fade a lot and blend with remnants of the body paint job. The Dio stickers are notorious for fading into oblivion in many examples.

But while shopping in the Honda showrooms, now when colleges and schools have reopened many of the boys and girls with their parents in tow will surely opt for the jazzy special editions, to which no parent can dare to say "NO".
