The Hero Hunk is set to receive a major update next year. Recent spy images suggest that the 2023 Hunk could be in the final stages of its development.



The 2023 Hero Hunk is expected to get a larger capacity engine from the Xtreme 160R. The 163cc single-cylinder engine makes 15 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14 Nm @ 6,500 rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Hunk could get a slightly detuned version of this engine.



Besides the new engine, the Hunk prototype looks fairly standard. The bike features a V-shaped headlamp with LED pilot lights and stylish shrouds on either side of the fuel tank. The blacked-out engine, crankcase, alloy wheels and suspension components further add to the sporty character.



The Hero Hunk is expected to be launched sometime next year. It will compete with the Bajaj Pulsar P150.

Loved the styling of the hunk when it came out. This version looks so meh. No LED lights, proper DRL, etc. This could have looked so much better with the 160 xtreme headlights. Would definitely consider buying one if they don't mess up with styling aspect

Okay, it's comparin' time!

These test mules desperately remind me of the erstwhile Xtreme Sports. That headlight unit looks a dead giveaway.

It looks like an alternative to the bigger Xtreme 200. The Xtreme 200 is actually rebadged and sold as the Hunk 200 in foreign markets as Turkey.
Its always good to see a monoshock setup. Looks like they've ditched their proprietary GRS suspension tech for this. Fact is that this GRS suspension was one of the main USP's of the main Hunk.

I'm uploading a few pics to make out the obvious similarities.

The headlamp unit is a rework unit. The tail lamp unit is a "parts bin" part.

Maybe the only addition are the beefy looking tank shrouds and the new monoshock setup.

Also, an interesting alternate reality : maybe these are the export models because the bodywork is very similar to the Xtreme 200R. And only the testing is done here.

If they are going to launch it next year then why it is not camouflaged ?

For me this looks more likely to test validate some engineering components.

An Update.

I decided to go with my hunch and checked out Hero Bangladesh's homepage.

Guess what I found.

Turns out, they're bringing back the "Hunk" moniker with a 150/160cc engine in the body of Xtreme 200R.

I was one of the admirer of its looks when launched for the first time, my name on this forum too is inspired by Hunk.
