Hero Xpulse 200 2V discontinued in India

Hero MotoCorp has pulled the plug on the Xpulse 200 2V in India. It has been replaced with the recently launched Xpulse 200 4V.

The Xpulse 200 2V was priced under the new 4-valve model. It was powered by a 199cc, single-cylinder 2-valve engine that made 17.8 BHP and 16.45 Nm. In comparison, the new 4-valve engine develops 18.8 BHP and 17.35 Nm.

With the Xpulse 200 2V now discontinued, the bike is only available in the newer 4V guise. That being said, Hero MotoCorp also plans to introduce an Xpulse 400 with an engine that’s double the capacity of the current motor. It will compete with the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

Absolutely! Have been hearing about a 300cc version since the original Impulse launched. Wonder which unicorn will materialize first in the Indian market- the 'bigger Im/XPulse' or the Suzuki Jimny!

We should start a betting pool on the forum (non-monetary, of course).

Almost every bike enthusiast. And these are anyways not targeted at non-enthusiasts.

Not just Hero, even TVS has showcased great concepts but what we get is a Ronin

Re: Hero Xpulse 200 2V discontinued in India

Interestingly, a great many 2V's are ending up with engine issues here in the hills, not sure about elsewhere. Abnormal valvetrain wear and noise, and apparently excessive oil consumption. Rare for Hero to launch anything like a lemon, particilarly when closely based on an existing engine.

But all said, the 4V seems to be a solid upgrade in a few respects.
