According to recent spy images, the 2023 FZ-X will be offered with dual-channel ABS, adding a layer of safety for the rider. The bike will also get a dirt bike-style front fender and a windscreen.

Coming to the cosmetic bits, the 2023 Yamaha FZ-X could be offered in new colour options. The bike featured in these images appears to be painted in a new shade of gloss orange and has gold alloy wheels.

Yamaha is unlikely to make any changes to the FZ-X’s engine. The bike is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine, which generates 12.2 BHP @ 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

I hope that it's proper dual channel abs and not just the Rear wheel lift protection ring. Let's also hope they update MT-15 also with dual channel abs as an option.

I give credit to Bajaj for introducing the dual channel abs option in N160 and making others follow.

And while at it, don't forget the XSR 155 which even Bangladesh gets.

I think they're doing a disservice to customers by hobbling this bike with low power and torque. Anything north of 15 bhp would make it a great multipurpose option.

IMO, along with providing dual channel ABS, Yamaha should also consider improving their instrument cluster across all the models barring R15.
The sales will definitely increase once they update this.

Re: 2023 Yamaha FZ-X to get dual-channel ABS

This bike is one of the options I am looking at buying for commute inside Bangalore.

The showroom told me that wheelspeed sensor at the rear is not for ABS, but for TCS

At the top of my list is a Yamaha or Honda for their no nonsense reliability.
Light weight, Affordable, Semi upright and Fuel efficient are my main reasons.
Hardly ever going to ride above 75kmph even on the ORR.
Although I would have loved a little bit more torque on this bike.
It has metal for a tank bag, Yay! even for use in the city.

In case you are interested, Still not finalised. Still hunting. Other options on the list:

Yamaha Aerox (I know)
Honda CB200X
Go Electric?
