The Avanti Garelli back - Now called Monto motors

Friends, just stumbled upon this site and thought that I should share with you this info.

@Mods: Please delete if discussed earlier

welcome to monto motors.com

Other details are available on the site.

Essentially the Products (as in the Bikes, Mopeds etc.,) seem like China imports what do you feel guys?)

Monto Motors took over from Kelvinator (yes the Fridge manufacturer owned Avanti Garelli) in 1997 or 1998. Their first 'product' was a remake of the wonderful Avanti Garelli 3G (3 gear) - a vehicle I've driven around for many many miles when I was younger - as the Avanti Kobra.

They also unsuccessfully tried to introduce Chinese Motorcycles into the Indian market, probably in collaboration with Lifan which is the largest Chinese motorcycle manufacturer.

However its interesting to see their product lineup now. They even have a 200cc ATV - is it available for sale in India or are they just meant for exports?

Avanti Toptank Sport!

Most Hilariouls looking thing I've seen. But you might be able to fool the village belles to thinking its a HH Splendor.

That said, the Avantis advertised 100 kpl with their 3G and were even known to beat 4 strokes in FE.
