Keeway K300 N & K300 R get a price cut of Rs 54,000

Keeway has reduced the prices of the K300 N and K300 R by Rs 30,000 and Rs 54,000, respectively.

Following the revision in prices, the K300 N, which is a naked street bike, costs Rs 2.55 lakh, while the fully-faired K300 R costs Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Keeway K300 N and K300 R were launched in September last year. Both bikes share the same platform and are powered by a 292cc, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 27.5 BHP @ 8,750 rpm and 25 Nm @ 7,000 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch.

The bikes come equipped with a 37 mm front fork and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by a single 292 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear, supported by ABS.

The K300 N competes with the BMW G 310 R and KTM 390 Duke, while the K300 R rivals the KTM RC 390, BMW G 310 RR and Apache RR 310.

I have not seen a single Keeway on road in Bangalore. I did a quick google search to see where these showrooms exactly are but ended up reading their reviews and oh boy for a brand that is trying to establish itself in India and carries the "China Gaadi" baggage with it the reviews are not doing them any good.

Keeway although not as lousy as UM, Regal Raptor, and a long list of other fly by night operators (who brought in cheapest possible low quality Chinese products) is not far from being another failure. These Chinese companies know what the market wants and are bankrolled by the domestic typical Lala (trader mentality) companies here. The heavy discounts they are offering makes one think if this is stock clearance before they shut shop like others. The only loser will be the buyer and perhaps the dealer (incase of uncleared stock).

IMO Benelli, Keeway, CF Moto, etc. although marginally better than the likes of UM, Regal Raptor, etc. but not sure about their long term commitment to a market like ours.

I wonder who’s going to buy these bikes even with a discount. The after sales service is a big question, the longevity of the product is an unknown. Even if the bikes are good it seems risky to get one.
