Hero MotoCorp plans slew of launches in the next 2 to 3 months

Hero MotoCorp has planned a slew of product launches for the next 2-3 months. This includes major updates along with all-new models.

We've been told that the bike maker has lined-up at least five new products for the Indian market. These were recently showcased at the National Dealers Conclave held in Bangalore. The most anticipated of them all is the all-new Karizma XMR.

Hero is resurrecting the 'Karizma' brand with a new 210cc motorcycle. The new model is expected to draw inspiration from the original. Spy images have revealed a fully-faired bike with low-set handlebars and a short windscreen. It will feature an upside-down fork suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.

The bike maker also plans to launch the Xtreme 160R. Test mules of this model have also been spotted. It is also expected to have upside-down forks for the first time.

In the commuter segment, we can expect the return of the Passion Plus. It could be powered by a frugal 100cc single-cylinder engine. Also on the cards, is the launch of the Hero Glamour.

Besides motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp is also planning to introduce a new 125cc scooter. The Xoom 125 will join its sister model, Xoom 110, which was launched in January this year. The latter is powered by a 110.9cc engine that makes 8.05 BHP and 8.70 Nm.

Hopefully there is a market for the Karizma. In the original version, it had a cult following. Let's hope for a performance product from Hero.

It's supposed to be a 420 and this year around the Himalayan 450 launch, since I last checked the rumour market. Won't be surprised if gets pushed to 2024 first half but if they have to, Diwali time would be ideal to start posting teasers.

Only time will tell the rest.
Could be a wild guess but I think the cheaper KTM 390 Adventure X seems to be a move in that direction bracing for those launches ?

Now it becomes a 420?

Started with 250, followed by 300, then 400 and now 420. Lets see if we see anything at all coming from hero.

That's the rumour market for you
Personally I heard about the 300 and the 400. The 420 was winked by Shumi so I am most inclined to go with that.

At this rate we will get a litre class Xpulse by 2030 ‘on papers’ while current xpulse 200 would be on 5th facelift with new-er graphics

2023 Hero Passion Plus leaked ahead of launch

Last week we reported that Hero MotoCorp was planning a new product offensive in the next 2-3 months. The bike maker has lined up at least five new models, which includes the Passion Plus.

The first images of the upcoming Passion Plus have leaked online. These images are from a dealer event that was held sometime back.

The Passion Plus was discontinued following the rollout of the BS6 emission norms. Since then, Hero has been selling the Passion Pro with a 110cc single-cylinder engine. The Passion Plus will also bring back the sloper engine – a 97.2cc, air-cooled unit that makes 8 BHP and 8 Nm.

In terms of design, the new Passion Plus looks quite familiar. It has a slightly reworked cowl, a single-piece seat with a grabrail and a redesigned taillight. The bike rides on black alloy wheels and is equipped with conventional telescopic fork suspension up front with dual shock absorbers at the rear.

The 2023 Passion Plus will get a combined braking system (CBS) and will comply with the recently introduced OBD-2 and BS6 Phase 2 norms.

Apart from that if we closely observe there are a couple of updates seen in Xpulse as well. The dual projector led headlight which has been selling in Turkey from quite some time and handguards which also incorporate lever guards, though of plastic. The windscreen is bigger as well.
Have been waiting for this headlight for quite some time.

Re: Hero MotoCorp plans slew of launches in the next 2 to 3 months

The yellow is looking good on the 200s. But it needs better hardware. Maybe USD forks, dual channel ABS and a 6th gear could help as 19PS is decent power. Not including LED indicators is a big miss, especially when the 160r has an all LED setup. They should use the same on this as well as the Xpulse 200 and 200T.

My word, so the 200S still in the market. I thought they had discontinued it. I have one from 2019 which has done close to 8000 km (only). There are some good aspects to this bike. It is a good looking bike which is very easy to handle in city and can be a comfortable one for long rides if you limit the speed between 80 and 90. Beyond that it is a struggle for the engine. And it is a rare sight to spot one on our roads so you have that unique feel
