Was pushing a bit too much on the Michelin Pilot Street 2 tyres and lost the rear end while cornering on my favorite turn in the entire Bangalore City (on the way to Egipura signal to Indiranagar, near Embassy Golf Links IT park and obviously I was pushing on a weekend early morning ensuring there was not much crowd to get disturbed by my speed)! The crash has ended up my 6+ long years of relationship with my R15 (me choosing not to repair it further as it has taken too many hits and thus a lot of resource wastage due to my hard riding style!) and left me with physical (just bruising on both hands and legs) and mental pain.
Hi Paavan,

Great job!! Can you help me with the tyre hugger mounting brackets for my R3

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Review | Love, Passion and Triumph

I'm unsure if this is the thread I have to post this. But I think all your experiences should help me with next steps.

I bought a used Ninja in 2023 with 53k on the odo for about 1.5L. I drove about 100kms in total in the last 20 months since. Got it serviced few months ago. The biggest challenge I have with this bike is the fuel consumption. It's a BS3 model (2015 make) and I'm getting about 10-12kmpl at best.

The earlier owner had an aftermarket exhaust and I got it removed and replaced with the stock exhaust on day1. In the recent services, engine oil, brake pads and the ball bearings (per mechanic) have been replaced. The service total costed me 18k.

The issue still remains that I get 10kmpl and there's a fuel smell I notice during the engine start/run. What should be my next steps? Does taking it to the authorized service center makes sense?

I'm in late 30s and wanted to get back into biking scene. Thus purchased this randomly through olx. All I heard is this is a robust engine and one can't go wrong with this. Did I get a lemon?

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Review | Love, Passion and Triumph

This is a very simple and robust engine, been around for ages first in the 250 guise and now a pretty long run as the 300.
I would first look at the obvious things like fuel lines(is there a leak?) Or the vaccum lines feeding the throttle bodies. The smell of fuel you get, is that coming from the exhaust? Check if there is soot there? If yes, then engine can't breathe properly and there may be a vaccum leak.
Another possibility Is an injector stuck open but that is bit unlikely. Of course go to kawa svc and get this looked at.
