Undoubtedly Triumph Speed400 - I tried so many bikes and none had so much to offer, its a great balance of power, performance, weight, comfort and looks

I wanted to vote for Thriumph Speed 400 but by mistake voted for the scrambler. If I where to upgrade from my 2014 Classic 350, I probably will go for this.

Voted for Speed 400, the perfect pocket size rocket that's shines in almost all aspects. Quality and finish levels have been the best and have set new standards for other manufacturers to follow.

Voted for the ZX4R. Never thought it will be launched here at all. But its a piece of history. Its one of a kind and its priced decently as well. Kudos Kawasaki.

Voted for RE H450. It's aspirational in many ways. It had a high expectation (globally) due to the unforeseen success of RE H411. I think RE managed to deliver. I like the bike myself and would like to get one but waiting for the initial issues to be ironed out.

Speed 400 !! The bike which forced other manufacturers to price their bikes sensibly. 400cc, liquid cooled, 40bhp with best in class built quality at 2.8 lacs is a steal. It's like the 'Jio' of bikes

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2023. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Himalayan!

My pick of the lot is HIMALAYAN from RE.A new design philosophy from RE.The machine breaks ground with a compact liquid cooled engine, frame built around the engine.Detachable rear subframe.Fresh design with no ancestry attached. Love to see more diversity from RE like our mother county BHARAT.
Other notable entries are KTM 390(they have a special place in my heart),Triumph 400(one more beautifully designed machine),electric scooters from TVS and Ride River.

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2023. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Himalayan!

I cast my vote for the River Indie, an exceptionally versatile scooter brimming with innovative features. Kudos to the daring manufacturers for pushing boundaries. In this realm, the prevailing preferences lean towards the Himalayan and Speed 400. While the new Himalayan appeals to me, I struggle to fully embrace the aesthetics of the Speed 400. Am I alone in perceiving it as a modern, muscular incarnation of the original Pulsar?

Should entries like Simple one who have been "launched" practically only on a PowerPoint should even be considered in any serious discussion ?
How many times they've announced to start deliveries only to postpone citing some gobbledegook? Businesses indulging on such tactics shouldn't be given any platform I feel till they pull up their socks.

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2023. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Himalayan!

Was a little confused between the Himalayan and the Triumph 400 Twins, but finally voted for the Himalayan for the following reasons:

1. The Himalayan seems like a more versatile vehicle to me; that can be that one bike that can do it all, from commuting to touring to off-roading
2. The overall thought that seems to have been put into the development of this motorcycle, where you can have a fully touring specced motorcycle right from the factory/dealer without ridiculously priced accesories
3. RE's vast sales and service network as opposed to Triumph. Credit where its due, it is expanding
4. On a lighter note, the mere existence of Keerthi Triumph is enough to put me off

Voted for the RE super meteor 650. Well priced cruiser that looks absolutely smashing and has presence like no other Indian bike. A perfect Indian alternative to the beginner class HDs. The proportions and low slung stance is better than most mid size cruisers I have seen from anywhere in the world.

Voted for the RE Bullet 350. This majestic classic had come off the age, ironing out all the flaws. A smooth low vibe engine with good thump. Safety of dual channel ABS.
Amazing balance in slow bumper to bumper traffic. Almost feels like an automatic in City traffic with fewer gear change. And lastly the feel good factor.

Brilliant observation. I was one of the first in the country to buy the original Pulsar 180 satin red in late 2002. When the Pulsar twins were launched they took India by storm, reminding many including me of a naked BMW Boxer of earlier years. A very good looking bike and if the Speed looks like it in a modern avatar, then it can only be a positive thing.

Cheers, Doc

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2023. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Himalayan!

Voted for the new Himalayan. Being a purpose built ADV, it has no actual competition in its class. And features some bikes even twice it's price do not offer.

Yes, there will always be desire for more like why no cruise control? Why no traction control? Why no this? Why no that? But logically thinking, it has features which will actually be used by 90% owners and nothing that is just a show-off and will lose it's utility after a few months and at the price it is being offered, it's still VFM.

Overall, RE is really doing commendably good. The Classic Reborn was in top three slots in 2021, Hunter bagged the TWOTY 2022 and now it seems from the way things are progressing that Himalayan will bag TWOTY 2023.

Great going RE...

+1. Those who have owned the gen 1 Pulsar or seen it before its discontinuation would easily make this observation.
