Re: Spied testing: 2025 KTM 390 Adventure

Called the dealer here in Jaipur and he said that the bike is just under manufacturer testing/evaluation in India complementing the same being done overseas. The needed certification from the Indian agency (do not remember the one he mentioned) is not yet started so an India launch is still a few months away. We have to wait patiently!

It looks like the Enduro variant might really make the cut for Indian market. Very exciting

I hope they launch this as the no-frills, affordable variant of the new 390 ADV for those who don't want the wind protection and big ADV presence. But that's probably wishful thinking

Does it look too short? I was expecting it to be a tall bike, like a true enduro, but this pic shows a shorter bike, like Duke.

Looks to me like visual illusion from the video screengrabs.

Honda is losing its slice of the cake with how much hesitation its showing to launch their excellent CRFs here. NX500 with that exorbitant price tag and zero inventory doesn't help a bit.

And Royal Enfield seems geared to take on the higher segment ADVs with the leaked Himalayan 650 (?). Now KTM is joining the party. Why is team red twiddling their thumbs??

For Honda and Suzuki, the motorcycle business is always an add-on to their scooter sales, in India. Honda haven't really don't put any effort into their premium offerings after the CBR250R back in 2011.

It's really a crying shame. The largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world is resorting to Shines and Activas for profits in the fastest growing economy.

With their massive portfolio, they have resorted to going after a small retro company's product instead of building a brand new motorcycle.

This looks production ready. Whats the footrest like thing protruding from the crash guard? Is it a footrest?

I am keen to know the kerb weight. With the present emission regulation i reckon even this will be around the 165~170kg range. The first gen 390 with its 149kg kerb weight seems like a much better enduro, dirt bike, street bike all in one .

Yesterday I took my CBR 250 for service. It looked odd in the sea of Activas, even commuter motorcycles were few. Sad Honda is content with their scooters when they have such a great portfolio for our huge market.

Indeed

Is it wishful thinking to expect a supermoto 390

I guess it's more of a CRF300L/Rally like road oriented dual sport than a pure 250/450 enduro. They may not even use that name.

KTM launching supermoto is difficult, but it shouldn't be too difficult to build. Maybe start with swapping the wheels with the duke.

I hope they package as minimum electronic aids as possible, just give me switchable ABS, I will be happy enough.
A basic instrument cluster is enough.

Re: Spied testing: 2025 KTM 390 Adventure

When is this going to be launched? If I remember correctly, the Duke 390 gen 3 was unveiled during this time last year. People sitting on fence with h450 bookings due to the tube tires would be making a move now post launch of tubeless spoke wheels.

There has been no new launches or MY updates by KTM.
