Kawasaki has launched the W175 Street at India Bike Week 2023. The bike is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom).



The 2024 W175 Street gets several updates over the outgoing model. The bike gets 17-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres and comes in two new colour schemes – Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Grey.

Powering the Kawasaki W175 Street is a 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which remains unchanged. It makes 12.9 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 13.2 Nm @ 6,000 rpm.



The W175 Street is fitted with a telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. The ground clearance has been lowered from 165 mm to 152 mm. The seat height has also been lowered to 786.5 mm and gets a smaller front disc brake measuring 245 mm.

Do what ever this will not sell.Kawasaki should have named it W180. Indians have a mental classification for bikes. Either is 150 cc or 180 cc. What the hell is this 175 ?
Where are the alloys?
At 1.49 lacs launch price people just moved to a higher segment.
Too late to do the price correction.

This is the India kawasaki boss men fooling the Japanese/ next level management by trying to show they are doing great work for business development by offering products in this volume category. Guys gets their bonus kits. No worries even it fails in market as they would be ready with another strategy by then ! Such stuff happens in many companies.

Among all the Kawasaki products, this particular one lacks a USP. Neither the power nor the torque figures do justice to the standards expected in this vehicle category. I'm yet to see one on road.

The green metallic looks good to me but the price should have been 1.2 lakh for what it offers.

Kawasaki seems to be getting inspired by Citroen.

You have the global brand equity that very few can dream of, yet you launch such yawn-inducing products which don't have any chance to sell. Worse, such products will actually harm your brand; let alone benefitting.

The least they could do is price it around 1 Lakh to raise some eyebrows.

Gulf had placed some official livery oil barrels cut out as a seating chair, even they looked more appealing than this at the India Bike Week 2023.

I just don't understand why this exists, and then at this price.

This looks so uninspiring, whn I was last in Kawasaki showroom, I didn't even.feelmlike sitting on it, forget a test ride. Looks way too ordinary and not at all desirable.

Probably fatter rear tyres and some aesthetic improvements might have helped. But to be very honest, this bike is not very appealing neither in terms of look nor in terms of power figures. We might call it a niche product for those who want it. Probably 250CC engine might have done some justice.

This would have been a great product (poor man's RE) if they had worked on the aesthetics and the name. In the current form it looks like malnourished RE. Front portion (head light and the front look of the instrument cluster) gives a feel of Bajaj Boxer or the older Kawasaki K4. Literally nothing stands out, every thing is average or ugly
