The SENA 50S can be retrofitted to most helmets that are currently available in the market. The speakers and microphone have been developed in collaboration with Harman Kardon.

The SENA 50S has a total of 9 channels and a maximum range of 8 km. It is Bluetooth 5-enabled and can also be connected to a smartphone. It is also compatible with WAVE Intercom.

The SENA 50S is powered by a lithium polymer battery that delivers a backup of up to 12 hours. It can be charged in 2.5 hours.

Launched at 36 Thousand

What is the point except that you get Royal Enfield logo, just a stupid PR exercise.

You can get it cheaper here and save your money.

Re: Royal Enfield partners with SENA to launch helmet intercom

Agree with Athek. For most part, I’ve loved RE’s partnerships because they make a difference. In a world where quality riding boots are also getting caught up in BIS paperwork, RE’s muscle backing quality brands like TCX and their boots or other gear at very decent INR prices is very welcome.

But the entire SENA range including their 50S are freely available in India with warranty at the same 36k price tag. So this is nothing more than a branding exercise of standing RE on a Sena 50S (not something that makes a difference to many). Not different from that KTM branded Cardo Edge which basically was the same Cardo Edge but in an orange color way.

I have nothing against it, but doesn’t really do much for the rider community per se.

What I would like to do is for RE to put their muscle behind a really good helmet brand perhaps. I don’t mean stylish open face helmets that look good in ad shoots but top quality full face and adventure helmets - a rider’s helmet if you please not a poser’s one. Basically help them get their models past BIS / ISI formalities etc and into India. Something which is Scorpion / HJC sort of middle of the park high end range that is accessible on price and quality to a wide range of owners - something below Arai / Shoei / Schuberth etc but above the MTs, LS2 etc., latter anyway being available in India. Brands that can sit in the 20-35k INR range assuming they’re well priced. If they believe they have customers who’ll buy a 36k comm unit that’s RE branded, then the helmets in same price range shouldn’t be an issue.

The KTM - Cardo collab for reference. They still went a few steps ahead and made it very very orange.

Re: Royal Enfield partners with SENA to launch helmet intercom

Looks like RE got pulled into doing this since Triumph came up with their own branding with Sena.

A +1 to AtheK and Axe77's point, just get the Sena from any of the many resellers (riding gear stores). I bought my 50S a few years back from one such store, and even had a smooth warranty claim. Absolutely straightforward once you submit legitimate documents (proof of sale).

I can understand helmet manufacturers collaborating with intercom manufacturers (Sena, Cardo and the likes), but not sure what value comes out such branding.

Re: Royal Enfield partners with SENA to launch helmet intercom

Considering this cost vs what features the bluarmour has advertised but yet to deliver made it easier for me to chose the trailblazer discount and give that c50 a chance. Unfortunately the delivery is a mess and most are yet to get the device and those who got it are waiting for firmware to use the advertised feature. 11k is the risk I was ready to take than spending 30k on senna.

This will still be selling as there are some strong RE fans which makes the brand a legendary brand.

Re: Royal Enfield partners with SENA to launch helmet intercom

BA will come through. If there's one thing most C30 customers swear by, it's that BA support has been fantastic since Day 1. The roll out has been a challenge and like most young startups it seems like they didn't anticipate as many orders plus overestimated their ability to deliver. Nonetheless, they are a very customer centric team and despite the initial niggles, which as an end consumer is annoying, I'm sure they will come through and solve all the current issues (all of which seem to be software related). Young team with their heart in the right place, so rooting for them!

Ironically, BA did a white labelled "improved" C30 for RE, although I never really saw it anywhere for sale.

Re: Royal Enfield partners with SENA to launch helmet intercom

Unfortunately, my friend and I bought two units of RE Motowave X1 intercom (rebadged Bluearmor C30) on 29 November 2024 only to find that utility within the RE app for using their Motowave X1 intercoms are not functional and have been put on update since last one month or so.

RE support is pathetic and responding with generic responses "we have escalated your issue to a specific technical team for resolution". Moreover, we have come to know that the partnership between RE and bluearmor has ceased and this is a big red flag with respect to long-term support for this RE intercom.

We bought this intercom due to its additional features over C30 including Harman Kardon speakers and crash detection utility (which automatically dials to your registered emergency number post detecting the crash).

We are in a big mess now and trying our best to exchange the RE branded intercoms with Bluarmour C30.

Snaphot: Problem with RE app utility for the intercom.
