BSA B65 Scrambler unveiled Classic Legends owned BSA Motocycles has unveiled the new B65 Scrambler at the Birmingham Motorcycle Live Show.
Derivative of the Gold Star 650, the B65 will continue to be powered by the same 652cc, Liquid-cooled, single- cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves, twin spark plugs Engine producing 45hp@6500rpm and 55Nm@4000rpm.
The B65 has the essential Scrambler design elements like the headlight gets a grille, the mudguards are raised and chopped, the grab rail is slim, and the seat is a flat bench unit. Side panels bear scrambler-style racing number plates and the bike is seen in two dual-tone shades. Electronics get an upgrade with new LED head & tail lights, alongside a digital single cluster display unit.
The most differentiating element is the 19/17 inch wire spoke wheel setup with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubber. Front tyre size is now 110/80-19 and 150/70-R17 brings up the rear. Bike weighs 218 kg with all these revisions.
There is no mention of the ground clearance or suspension travel currently. Seat height remains accessible at 820mm.
Braking duties will continue to be handled by a Single 320mm floating disc with Brembo twin-piston floating calliper and dual ABS. A Single 255mm disc with Brembo single-piston floating calliper does duty at the rear.
The bike is set to arrive in the UK in 2025. India plans have not been announced yet. When launched, the bike will go up against the Royal Enfield Bear 650. Bear 650 v/s B65. Phew!
