I have seen the exact same issue when I did not use my Indie for about 10 days as I was out of town. I believe the scooter must have gone to sleep mode automatically by then. I had about 30% charge remaining when I used it next time, but the range was showing just 1 km. It got fixed only on the next recharge.

Can owners provide their views?

Re: River Indie electric scooter Review

New River Indie launched with only major difference is the chain drive compared to the older belt drive.

Will this be available to existing customers as a retrofit.

I don't what to make of this scooter. I think it looks interesting, but doesn't seem as desirable as an Ather or a Chetak. Also, the front-end bulk might put some people off. Aren't belt drives easier to maintain than a chain? Why would River want to do this?

No, the mechanism isn't retrofittable.

I'm informed that the single-gear mechanism is much more reliable, and it demands a gear oil change once every 15k km.

Mods, this is my first multi-quote, if I've not done it as I should have, please feel free to edit or delete my response.

While I've been looking forward to this launch, skimping on upgrading the headlights has ruined my plans for an upgrade. I could live with no improvement in the top speed, but I'll continue to struggle with the poor headlights.

It may be true that it complies with the regulations. But that's poor consolation.

Why not go to the same guys who supply Bajaj with their LED headlights is a question I've often posed and received no response.
