Two-in-One Exhaust for RD350??

Hi guys,
I have seen that its a common trend to get two-into-one exhausts for RDs. It has a wonderfully smooth exhaust note! But, I wanted to know how it would affect perfomance?
The Reason>> Shouldn't the gases released in the pipe by one cylinder interfere with the scavenging process of the other cylinder?
Its just a thought... I'm not sure!
What would be a reasonable price for such a conversion?

You hit the nail on the head with your statement on scavenging.

This mod can, in addition to degrading performance, seriously damage your engine.

I think this might hamper performance as the exhaust flow will be restricted. The speed of scavenging will be slower. The RD's are best kept stock or with minimal mods. I have seen pics of RDs with single underseat exhausts. Looks cool, but the original looks are spoilt.

It will not work properly i have seen one on a bike and the bike doesnt move. its always better to have the original silencers than have a 2 into 1 or get a decent set of expansion chambers from tectrac in chennai.

Don't you think riding a 2-into-1 exhaust RD once would say it all! Though I personally agree with most of you guys! It'll affect the performance for the worse!
Thanks for your inputs!

Any 2 st engine is not complete without a properly designed chamber..

and there is nothing more sweeter than listening to a RD with chambers running "on the pipe"

2 into 1 chambers are ONLY looks and no go..
