In 2021, I made a similar booking for OLA, which I later cancelled and received a refund due to their poor execution.

Hope this will be a wonderful experience to stick with the booking and enjoy their Tesseract 6.

How do you know this? If so, then the starting price now is 1.45 lakh, right?

Ultraviolette Tesseract introductory offer extended to 50,000 buyers

Earlier this week, Bangalore-based Ultraviolette Automotive launched its first electric scooter, the Tesseract. 20,000 pre-bookings were registered in the first 48 hours. Having received an overwhelming response from customers, the company has decided to extend the introductory pricing to 50,000 buyers.

The Tesseract costs Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), but will be available to the first 50,000 customers at a special price of Rs 1.20 lakh.

The Tesseract is powered by a 20.1 BHP electric motor, which enables the e-scooter to sprint from 0-60 km/h in 2.9 seconds. There are three battery options on offer: 3.5 kWh, 5 kWh, and 6 kWh, offering a maximum range of up to 261 km.

The Tesseract features a futuristic and sporty design and comes loaded with several advanced features. It’s the first e-scooter in its segment to offer dual radars, front and rear cameras for blind spot detection, collision alert, overtake alert, and a large touchscreen instrument console with Violette AI connectivity. It also has dual-channel ABS, traction control, dynamic stability control, cruise control, keyless access, park assist, hill hold, and navigation.

Pre-booked one for 1k just now in desert sand colour. Looks promising, and if it is not, amount is always refundable lol: .

Just booked one in White, looks promising. I already have an Ola S1 Pro Gen 1, never faced any major issues except one time MCU replacement, home service got on time. Still running like day 1. So this will be better than Ola I guess, also the design is interesting, somewhat looks like the BMW C400 GT. The only thing is that touchscreen, 8 inch display would have been better.

Is there any kind on animation in lights like BE6E? Turn indicator is dynamic though, also the UV logo above the front dashcam is illuminated I guess. Also the placement of front number plate is unknown, will look horrible if near that puny windshield.

Love the features of the Tesseract. But the side panel on the front is a bummer. Looks extremely awkward. The back half of the scooter looks amazing. But I'll probably hold off booking just because I kind of think the front looks ugly. Looks are subjective but this design does not do justice to the design efforts put on the F77/F99.

Features are damn good. Long long wait. May be worth the wait. But the side panels are a real put off. The rear also looks good.

If not for the side panels, would have done the booking. Not sure who designed such a turn off for such a fantastic product

Pre-booked both of them! The side panels sure does feel out of place. However when viewed from inside, it looks like it is shaped like that to aide aero performance and hence the range. Otherwise it looks so so bad.

Waiting to see one in flesh. Also the pricing of higher capacity models are yet to be finalised. But the 6kWh must be for very few people, and last mile delivery services. The 3.5 and 5kWh must be where most action would happen.

Wow. Never thought I'd bite the bait for pre launches like this - never been an early adopter of anything. But I went ahead and made a booking (for the Black version which I'm hoping masks the oversized side panels)

Knowing the kind of work Ultraviolette has been doing with their F77, I'm hoping some of the quality rubs off on their new offerings. 2026 is still some time to go and hopefully gives them enough time to QC - so it will be great if they sell a sorted product from day 1.

No Ola type obnoxious shenanigans please!

Can some one tell me, if the batteries are removable? Is this belt drive/chain drive or hub motor? I did not see any info on their website regarding this.

Also, I am quite amazed to see so many bookings despite very little information on tech specs.

The batteries won't be removable. And it isn't a hub motor. These can clearly be inferred from the photos.

That kinda is what pre-bookings are. You're just paying a token amount to let the manufacturer know that you're interested, so that they can plan and scale appropriately. Even the manufacturer doesn't know the full specs at this point, the vehicle isn't finalized and fully fleshed out.

I pre-booked one too. FYI- the discount is set at

- ₹25,000 for the first 10k deliveries
- ₹15,000 next 40k deliveries

on the variant of your choosing.

The design has a lot of creases and breakable edges. In a city like Bengaluru that's massive liability. My skinny Aprillia SR 160 already has too many chips in its armour. But I'm sold on EV's for short term commute. Who wouldn't like to own a Mini-Batpod !

Next 50k* according to the terms.

Now their recent announcement says the ₹25k discount is extended to first 50k though I suppose?

Yes discount valid for first 50k booking and it will hold the same price of 1.2 Lakhs. Booked 1 dessert storm color. Will see how things go. Hoping they launch an exciting product , as this would be my first EV.

Yes, that's correct. They have mentioned that the price benefits are now extended to the first 50K bookings. This information has been updated on ultraviolette's Instagram page. Please check their Instagram handle for the details.
