Head Lights For Classic Pulsar!

Hi all, am looking for a good headlight for my 2003 classic pulsar..The bulbs which bajaj gives really sucks..Before i've used halogen, but the problem with that is, it gets too hot that it melted the Reflectors..

How many watt was the halogen tube that you used? I am currently using the 55/60w halogen with avenger coil and there isn't any problem with the reflector.

do avenger have the same Doom as the classic pulsar? the reflector melted on a long journey.. The Bajaj guys also dont recommend halogens for the classic pulsar as there is little air circulation inside the doom!!

I am not talking about the Avenger beam, I have avenger stator plate installed in my pulsar The Headlight thread: Brighter, Stronger...! - Page 15 - India Travel Forum, BCMTouring.com

As for long rides, well just came back from 16 day long ride to Ladakh and even during the day the lights were on, no problem at all.

Are you using the stock sealed beam and holder or have you changed them?

Change the holder to the one in DTSi, keep the stock beam. Which halogen lamp are you using and of how many watts?

or just do the cheapo jugaad setup i've mentioned. about 110 versus the ~1k you need to spend for a avenger coil setup (worth only if you're keeping the bike for sometime)
