After years of riding mopeds we are getting a proper bike. and still people are cribbing. I dont get whats wrong.

Big bikes are already here long before the ninja
People cribbed when F650 was launched, then they cribbed on comet.
somethings will never change.

Blokes who buy these bikes will never be seen posting on these threads:)

Frankly speaking, that's what my 180 DTSi (type 1) felt like after I rode my very first SBK (an R1) about 5 years ago.....the effect is overly accentuated if you ride your "moped" right after you ride an SBK...

P.s - It's gonna be the same with the Ninja too. Hop onto a Busa/Blade, ride it for 10 kms hard, hop off, swing a leg over the Ninja 250, ride it, and tell me what it feels like.

^^ I agree totally with your view there veyron1, I had a similar experience a year back when I had the chance of riding a V Max and a CBR 1000 and after that I came home riding the Pulsar of my friend. It felt like I was riding a Kinetic Luna lol.
But this Ninja around 30 BHP will not be that bad an experience imo.

I happened to speak to a Bajaj service center owner who is a motor cycle enthusiast and as per him the release is slated for 7th Oct.

When I inquired further he said he was very skeptical about its prospects and felt that it will be doomed like the F650 simply because he felt the people here weren't into real motorcycling.

Ninja 250 will give people to move from smaller bikes into SBK's. I believe its a intermediate bike and will help people sharpen their riding before they can ride the big ones. A big thumbs up for Bajaj(if they keep it real)

I am completely spoilt now.
After riding around on a R1 and a Comet.

My 17PS lawn mower only fulfills my offroading and touring needs in the hills.

Rather than spending 300K+ on a Ninja,Il add a bit more and ride around on a decent used 600Cc and DRI wont even know the name of the city where i will ride the bikelol:

^ +100 on that. a person having ridden a 250 extensively will be better off and will have more fun on a liter class bike. IMHO.

6 days to go folks !

Wow So this time its for real :)

They have copied the website theme from HD's India Website.

Atlast someone dared to launch a bike with twin cylinder if you leave RD's and Kinetic imports, others should get inspired for launching atleast twins instead of singels.
Kawasaki GPZ 500 are also known for their raw power and light weight.
Very much interested in real life performance figures ;)

I have a simple question - how come they will not introduce the Supersport 600 and 1000cc bikes in India?

As of today its not possible to launch a sub 800 cc bike in India (I am not aware of the lower limit)

Why is Kawasaki not launching the liter & above bikes is not known to me.

I think ARAI dosen allow anything beyond 30BHP and liter class is getting sold as premium segment, so its either sub 30BHP motor or something above 1000 CC.
And this bike is coming as a colaburation between Bajaj and Kawasaki and till now i dont think so Kawasaki is having any plans to come as indipendent player such as other Japs in India.
